Tryouts for little sluggers planning to play Little League baseball will be held at the Lovell Middle School gymnasium on Saturday March 19, 2022. League officials will be available starting at 8 am for late registrations, with tryouts starting at 8:30 am.
The format of the "tryout" is more of a fun showcase of players' skills and abilities, which will give league coaches a chance to evaluate players in preparation for the "draft," when players will be selected for their team.
Skills to be tested are throwing, fielding fly and ground balls, and hitting. Players are encouraged to wear clean gym shoes and be dressed in appropriate gym clothes. Additionally, a well-used (broken in) ball glove is helpful, but not necessary.
